i was booked for matthew and fagan's wedding, but i am so glad that they wanted me to shoot their engagement session. we shot later in the day which gave way to beautiful skies and moodier lighting. i had such a wonderful time with them! fagan grew up in columbia and it was so interesting to learn more about the area from her. thanks so much for having me, you two! enjoy these!
holly and lucas are getting married in a week and i'm so excited that their time has finally arrived! for their engagement session, we tromped around downtown columbia and found some great spots. they are such a fun-loving couple and after our time together they are now addicted to "the office." :)

when i first met ashlee and caleb, i really hoped they would choose me as their wedding photographer. they are one of those couples that i hit it off with immediately and knew there was chemistry there. not too long after our meeting, i got a call saying they wanted to move forward with their january wedding! we ran around downtown franklin on a hot, humid june morning (imagine that this time of year!) and walked away with beautiful imagery. i'm excited to share these with them and hope you enjoy!
whew! i believe an apology is in order for the lack of my presence here the past of couple of months. things have been NUTS-O! i've been in and out of doctors and specialist offices tending to some health issues and had to cut a few things out of my schedule. the blog was one of them and i appreciate those who checked in on me. all of your thoughts and prayers have meant so much to us.
now onto a long overdue sneak peek! brittany and joseph are high school sweethearts and are going to be tying the knot this fall. it was wonderful to hear their story and their future plans. thanks for being so great to work with (and patient for these! :) ) enjoy and best of luck with the house. i am so excited for you two.
wow, that's the longest i've been absent from the blogworld! thanks to those who checked in on me. i am doing better and am glad to be back on here. i have lots to share, so let's get started with this lovely session of jenna and ian.
when i first met jenna, i knew her and i would get along. she is one of those people that you love to be around because her love for life is simply contagious. i couldn't wait to photograph her and ian together! we were worried that the session might not happen because of the tricky weather here in middle tennessee. we had to reschedule several times, but we waited it out and had a great evening on the night of the shoot. what do you think, was it worth the wait?

after my first session in lexington, i met up with beth and stephen. they will also be married in downtown lexington in late spring. we ventured around the city and wound up at university of kentucky's campus. we found this great dirt hill with weeds growing all over it. it was absolute perfection as the sun was setting. here is my favorite from that! thanks for such a great time!

on tuesday, i drove to lexington for a couple of engagement sessions. i met rebecca and willie upon my arrival. we ventured around downtown and found some great spots. we have been trying to plan this session for sometime and it was great to finally meet them! here is one of my favorites. i will see you on sunday!
last weekend was the wedding of j.r. and miriam. the weekend kicked off with a great dinner at bound'ry restaurant. they were surrounded by friends and family from all over the country who had come to celebrate this great day with them. here are a couple from the rehearsal dinner as well as a couple more favorite engagement photos. enjoy!

on friday night i ventured around downtown with these two for their engagement session. what a great time we had! they are such a fun couple to be around, were willing to try any of my ideas and even threw in a few of their own. michael kept us laughing the entire night! thanks for being such good sports and sweating it out in the heat. looking forward to november 24!

i met up with jacob and heather during my time in oklahoma. heather and i go way back... all the way to ms. willis and mrs. borum's kindergarten afternoon class. so, we've known each other since we were five and could definitely share some stories about each other and classmates! it was great to see her and i was so excited to meet jacob. heather and jacob are getting married soon and had me capture their engagement photos. we started out at the downtown westend park, worked our way around downtown and then headed to van buren to get their matilda in some photos. these two are crazy about each other and it was so fun to see them together. here are a couple of my favorites...

while we were in oklahoma last week, we spent time with family but i also was able to shoot a few sessions. the first one was a trip down memory lane with a good friend from grade school. tiffany and i spent so much time together in late elementary and junior high! many many afternoons were spent at her house playing "college", dancing, watching movies, me watching her cook and running around outside. we also played the piano together, sang and even picked up some photography along the way. i love to reminisce!!... but onto our recent time together. tiffany and dustin just celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary earlier this summer. so, i traveled out to their home that is nestled on 50 acres of land. upon arrival, we pulled out the 4wheeler and went searching for photo ops across their place. here is one of the places we found (and my favorite from the session! :) )
last week i met jr and miriam at historic cedarwood in nashville. (be sure to check out their site as they are a great venue for weddings!) even though it was a hot day, we had such a great time. this couple had the giggles! so many of my portraits are of them laughing together. thanks for such a fun night :) here is one of my favorites!
