lucky pup bath • nashville pet photographer

when i returned from phoenix last week, benny was a bit on the messy side, so brian and i took him in for his first indoor bath. we went to lucky pup because i absolutely love that place. kristin is super friendly and always has new, fun toys and treats for furry kids. lucky pup also offers self-bathing and drop-off services. we decided to do it ourselves. let's just say that benny was happier when it was over (NOT a fan of water), but he sure looked handsome when we were finished! here's a photo from mid-wash. his pitiful face makes me laugh!



after his bath, kristin wanted benny to try on the doggie rain gear. ooh, i love it! she also featured him on her blog!





tomorrow is lucky pup's 1st birthday! come out for the celebration - cupcakes and cocktails, doggie birthday cakes, goodie bags and more. i'd love to see some of my doggie clients there! :)

greetings from sunny phoenix!

happy monday to you!

i am in the valley of the sun at a photography convention this week. it's a time of education, mentoring, re-energizing and hanging out with friends. there is a large group of photographers from nashville attending this year and it has made it so fun! tomorrow is the trade show which i am particularly excited about as i search for new, great products to bring back to you. i'm really hoping that nashville doesn't get it's only snow of the season while i'm gone!

my apologies for being so quiet around here lately. the last quarter of 2008 was busier than i had planned and i haven't had a chance to catch all of you up yet! but hang tight because i will debuting several new things ... keep your fingers crossed for that to happen soon! i hope everyone's had a nice start to their week and that the transition from the holidays has become easier! :)

happy 2009! • nashville, tn lifestyle photographer

happy 2009 everyone! i hope you enjoyed time with close friends and family over the past couple of weeks. we had a nice visit with our families and friends in oklahoma and arkansas. lots of food, silly board games, reminiscing and even a little singing of christmas carols around the piano. perfect! as i get older, i come to appreciate these times more because they seem to get fewer and farther between. it especially was a nice christmas for my family as this will be the last time we'll all be together for a couple of years. my older brother and his family are preparing to move to hungary (can you say trip to europe? :) ) and my younger brother has recently moved to los angeles. even though it may be a while, we're all excited to meet again as my sister and her husband should have their baby from ethiopia the next time we see them. so excited!

i also just got back from the pittsburgh area. it was the 1st annual roomie reunion with two of my best friends. the three of us got together to celebrate the new year and hitting our quarter-life. we haven't been together in three years and it was a blast. we plan to reunite every five years and are hoping for somewhere tropical next time! :)

i am back in the office today returning emails. we'll be back in full swing on monday after a wedding on saturday. have a great (and restful!) weekend. happy new year!

growing up i remember the holiday season being my favorite time of year. time hasn't changed that! i've been listening to christmas music for several weeks now from the classics of bing crosby to the warmth of john and karen carpenter to the inspiring words of the goo goo dolls. read these words from john rzeznick:

in itunes, i have a christmas playlist. "better days" began playing and i couldn't help but think that today is world aids day. i couldn't help but think of the mothers who lose their children everyday to this disease and the millions of orphans that are left. they're our responsibility... at least in some part. i have hope in the good people of this world. click here to find out more about world aids day and the wonderful, local organization that is leading a great work. happy christmas to everyone and may we find better days.
